At 19, Ferreyr played Vanessa Lima do Vale, the lead antagonist and Marisol’s adopted daughter, in the prime-time SBT telenovela Marisol, one of the most commercially successful series in the network’s history. The series debuted on April 9, 2002 to an average of 16 IBOPE points, peaking at 20 in Greater São Paulo, and regularly sustained averages of 19 to 22 points against Rede Globo’s Jornal Nacional and Esperança, reaching peaks of 25 points in its closing chapters.

The show’s highest ratings coincided with its second narrative phase, driven by the introduction of Vanessa and the “Verônica” revenge arc. On August 26, 2002, Marisol became the first Brazilian telenovela broadcast with closed captioning, a pioneering accessibility milestone in Brazilian television.

The strength of the series’ final chapters benefited its successor, Pequena Travessa, which debuted at 19 points with peaks of 21 on the momentum of Marisol’s lead-in audience.

Marisol has since been rerun three times. The first rerun aired from January to March 2007 in a condensed 60-episode format. The second, from March to August 2012 in 119 episodes, performed significantly better, frequently reaching peaks of 8 IBOPE points. The third rerun aired from January to June 2023 and proved a strong asset for SBT’s afternoon programming block: in March 2023 it broke the afternoon slot’s ratings record with a 4.1-point average and 9% share, lifting SBT past the 4-point mark in the early afternoon. Its conclusion was notably felt when its replacement, Rebelde, saw an immediate ratings decline. Vanessa’s storylines received dedicated episode-by-episode coverage in the Brazilian press during the 2023 rerun.

The series was broadcast internationally in Portugal and on SBT Internacional, the network’s global satellite and cable channel, reaching viewers in the United States, Angola, Mozambique, and parts of Western Europe. It remains available to stream for free on the official +SBT platform.
